What is Quinta da Silveira?
Quinta da Silveira is a wine estate in the Douro Superior sub-region of the Douro Demarcated Region, producing still wines (whites, reds and rosé) and a full range of Ports - Ruby, Reserve Ruby, Tawny 10 Years, Tawny 20 Years and White Old Light Dry.
Do you ship across mainland Portugal?
Yes. We arrange delivery across mainland Portugal via courier, or hand-delivery in the Macedo de Cavaleiros and Trás-os-Montes area. For EU orders, please contact us first - special conditions apply for businesses with a valid VAT number.
Can I taste before buying?
Absolutely. We host complimentary guided tastings of our house wines at the shop, subject to availability. For groups or businesses, please book via WhatsApp so we can set aside dedicated time.
Which Ports do you carry?
We carry the full Quinta da Silveira range: Ruby Port, Reserve Ruby, 10 Year Tawny, 20 Year Tawny, and the rare Old Light White Dry - a wood-aged dry white Port, perfect as an aperitif.
Which grape varieties dominate Douro wines?
Reds: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Sousão. Whites: Viosinho, Gouveio, Rabigato, Códega do Larinho, Malvasia Fina and Arinto. These are the traditional varieties of the Douro Demarcated Region - the world's first demarcated wine region (established 1756).
